Tottenham have completed the signing of defender Younes Kaboul from Portsmouth.
Spurs have been in talks over a deal for the Frenchman in recent days after Pompey decided they needed to sell a major player to ease their financial worries.
Kaboul has now sealed a return to White Hart Lane and will increase competition for the centre-back positions.
Both Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate have struggled with injuries this season, while Kaboul's performances have caught the eye on the South Coast.
Redknapp is fully aware of his abilities after signing him from Tottenham during his time as Portsmouth manager.
Kaboul initially joined Spurs from Auxerre in the summer of 2007 but failed to establish himself as a regular starter and was moved on 12 months later.
He is now set to be reunited with Redknapp in North London, and the Spurs boss feels he has acquired a much-improved player from the Frenchman's first spell in the capital.
Concentration
"I think he's a young centre-half who technically developed late," Redknapp told
Sky Sports News.
"I think he has improved since we took him to Portsmouth - his heading is excellent, he is quick, he can pass the ball. I think he is a much-improved player.
"His concentration levels are certainly getting better and I think he has a big future. He is a player that could make the French World Cup squad, I think.
"We are pleased to have him and I think he will be a good player for Tottenham."
Redknapp insists Kaboul's arrival will mark the end of his dealings in the January transfer window, with the Spurs chief now happy with the squad he has to work with.
He added: "I don't want anyone else. We are happy with the squad. We haven't got too many. It's a good manageable squad.
"We are not close to anyone going either. Maybe one or two of the younger pros, who it would be good to go out and play some football, but that's it."
