Croatian keeper moves to White Hart Lane for season's loan
Tottenham have completed the signing of goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa on a season-long loan from Spartak Moscow.
The 31-year-old Croatian shot-stopper has been a regular for his country over the last decade, winning 80 caps and representing Croatia in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups as well as the European Championship in 2008.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has been chasing the keeper's signature for some time, as revealed by
skysports.com earlier in the month.
Redknapp is hoping the experienced Croat will provide cover and competition for current goalkeepers Heurelho Gomes and Carlo Cudicini.
Pletikosa began his career with Hajduk Split and made more than 172 appearances for his hometown club before making the switch to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2003.
After four years with the Ukrainian outfit he moved to Spartak and has now opted to join Spurs until the end of the campaign.
