Stopper keen to stay at White Hart Lane
Steven Caulker is optimistic he is still part of Tottenham Hotspur's future plans during his loan spell at Bristol City.
The teenage defender joined the Robins on loan for the rest of the season in September and has impressed in making 11 appearances in the Championship.
He moved to Ashton Gate just days after making his Spurs debut against Arsenal in the Carling Cup and still trains with his parent club at the start of the week.
With Spurs now competing in the UEFA Champions League, Caulker is aware that manager Harry Redknapp may continue to improve his defence with new signings.
However, the 18-year-old believes Redknapp is taking an interest in his progress at the Robins and that he has a long-term future at White Hart Lane.
Caulker said: "I'm about seventh in Spurs' pecking order and with the boss' reputation in the transfer market, it wouldn't surprise me if he got someone in January!
"But I'm still in the picture. I train with the first-team squad on Mondays and Tuesdays and the boss often asks how things are going on at Bristol."
