Centre-back released after years of injury troubles
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed defender Jonathan Woodgate will not be offered a new contract by the club.
Woodgate, who joined Spurs from Middlesbrough for £8million in 2008, has infamously struggled for fitness during his career.
The centre-back made just 49 Premier League starts for Tottenham since the switch, and his club have chosen to let him go.
Woodgate made a solitary appearance for Spurs last season and must now go in search of a new club this summer.
