Spurs keeper wants to play as long as possible after crash

Veteran Tottenham keeper Carlo Cudicini wants to prolong his career as long as his body will let him. The 38-year-old Italian saw his career almost ended when he broke both wrists and his pelvis in a motorbike crash. Initially it was feared he had suffered "life-changing" injuries after his BMW bike ploughed into a car in east London two years ago. But the former Chelsea man battled back to full fitness and resumed his playing career eight months later. Now Cudicini, Spurs' understudy to 40-year-old Brad Friedel, does not want to hang up his gloves in a hurry.

Emotions

"I hope I can play as long as possible because it constantly gives me emotions and being part of this world is wonderful," he told Italian radio station Mana Mana. "As long as my body will let me, I will try to play. "The day I understand I won't make it I'll do something else. "I'd like to continue to be part of this world. But at the moment I have no clear ideas as to decide [when I'll finish playing].
