PFA Young Player of the Year Kyle Walker hopes his award is just the start of a glittering career at Tottenham Hotspur.
The full-back beat the likes of team-mate Gareth Bale, Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck to the award.
The 21-year-old has been a consistent performer for Tottenham this season and has helped the club challenge for a UEFA Champions League place.
Asked if he thinks this is just the start of what is to come, Walker answered: "Yes, why not?
"I have had a mad couple of years so far in my football career so who knows what will happen around the corner now?
"I have an important end to the season with Tottenham, we have four massive games and we need to take maximum points from them to get into the Champions League but it has been a great season for me personally and hopefully there are many more years of this to come."
England
Walker's attacking nature has fitted into Tottenham's style of play this season and the former Sheffield United defender made his international debut for England against Spain in November 2011.
He has hopes of being part of the Euro 2012 squad for the competition in Poland and Ukraine this summer and is competing with Glen Johnson and Micah Richards for the position.
Walker has heaped the praise on his manager Harry Redknapp and believes he owes his success to the Spurs boss.
He added: "I try and get forward as much as I can to get into the limelight but it is a team game.
"My team-mates have helped me out massively for this award and I owe it to them as well.
"He (Redknapp) gave me the opportunity to play this season, I have always wanted to break into the Tottenham side, so I have just got to say a big thanks to him for putting the belief in me, really."
