Modena hang on to Kamara

The player was joint-owned with Chievo, but in the auction for complete ownership, it was Modena who offered most.

The two teams failed to reach an amicable arrangement, leaving the Italian FA to arbitrate.

Kamara starred for Modena last season, as they sustained their Serie A status, and the club were desperate to hang onto the player.

It is believed that Modena played around £1.6 million for Chievo's half of the contract, although that fee has yet to be confirmed.

Chievo's sporting director Giovanni Sartori revealed the club were disappointed to miss out on the ace, along with Cristiano Lupatelli.

Lupatelli, who was joint-owned by Chievo and Roma, is now fully-owned by the Giallorossi.

"We've lost two very important players," said Sartori. "As a club, we've tried everything possible to keep them."

Meanwhile, Modena are believed to be ready to contact Blackburn over the possibility of loaning misfit striker Corrado Grabbi for next season.

The Serie A outfit are ready to strike a deal where Rovers pay two-thirds of the hit-man's salary during his temporary return to his homeland.
