Mark Hughes was delighted with Blackburn's performance in the 2-2 draw with Fulham, but felt his side should have collected all three points.
Hughes also admitted he was confused by the offside rule after taking in Diomansy Kamara's goal, which put Fulham 2-1 ahead.
Kamara appeared to be in an offside position in the move before he received the cross to convert, but his finish was allowed to stand.
Hughes said: "The second goal - when the initial ball was passed forward - the lad who scored was in an offside position.
"In days gone by, when I played, that was stonewall offside but these days, with different phases and interference it becomes a lottery and that is the worry.
"It is not easy for officials, in fairness, and it has hurt us today."
Hughes was nevertheless happy with the battling display from his side, that kept them ninth in the Premier League.
"I thought we kept on playing and trying to do the right things and we got our reward it the end," he enthused.
"We thought it was a game we should have won and I think we totally dominated. In general play we were the most progressive team.
"On another day we would have won the game."
Warnock tipped for England
Stephen Warnock grabbed the equalizer to cap a fine individual performance, and Hughes has backed the left-back for an England call-up.
"Warnock has been playing well for quite some time," Hughes commented.
"Prior to coming to Blackburn he was involved in the international squad then, for whatever reason, since being at Blackburn he has not been involved.
"When the next squad gets picked he should do enough to get in because it the time he
has been at Blackburn he has been outstanding."
