Rovers owners admit 'worry' over facing drop
Blackburn's owners Venky's insist they are committed to the club, despite fears of Premier League relegation.
Rovers' last league victory came on 23rd January, when they sat seventh in the table with nine points between them and the drop zone.
Since that win they have secured just two points from six games and, although they are 13th in the standings, they are only a point clear of the bottom three.
Blackburn also face a testing run-in, with encounters against Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City awaiting them in their remaining eight matches.
While co-owner Venkatesh Rao admits he is worried by Rovers' predicament he is adamant Indian company Venky's, who took over at Ewood Park late last year, are dedicated to the club.
Worried
"Of course we are worried but we have to play well and get together as a team, and we have to get out of the situation," he told the
Lancashire Telegraph.
"You have to win sometimes and you have to lose sometimes, but we have to come out of this situation, that's very sure.
"But we are always positive and we will be positive.
"We are absolutely committed to the club and that won't be changing any day."
The hunt for a new chairman to replace John Williams, who departed the club in February, is ongoing despite rumours over a host of candidates.
Rao added: "We are looking at it but there is nothing thus far, this is also speculation."
