Blackburn forward confident of adding to goals tally
Blackburn striker Yakubu Ayegbeni insists he can keep on scoring the goals needed to help lift Rovers out of danger.
The Nigerian frontman hit all four goals in the 4-2 win over Swansea at Ewood Park on Saturday, a victory that lifted the club off the bottom of the table.
That brought the 29-year-old's tally to 10 for the season since moving to Blackburn from Everton on transfer deadline day.
The former Middlesbrough and Portsmouth striker admits the pressure is on him to keep scoring the goals to see Rovers out of trouble but insists he is confident in his own abilities.
Believe
"I always believe I can score goals no matter what league I play in," he told the club's
official website.
"There is a long way to go but I've done it wherever I've played.
"I had a lot of pressure from Paul Robinson and Chris Samba in the week to score.
"Putting pressure on players to perform is great and if we keep fighting like this we will be fine."
