Blackburn boss hails his side after coming from behind
Steve Kean does not believe Everton's opening goal should have stood but was pleased with Blackburn's response after they snatched a draw at Goodison Park.
The Toffees went ahead through Tim Cahill in the 24th minute on Saturday, even though Marouane Fellaini appeared to handle the ball in the build-up.
Kean was disappointed to see the midfielder go unpunished but was happy with how his side bounced back, equalising through David Goodwillie in the second half.
Asked if Everton's opener should have stood, the manager told
Sky Sports: "We didn't think it should have but it's easier for us. We can see it from the side.
"The referee is in a difficult position where he can't see. We respect his decision and we just kept going and managed to get something from the game."
Happy
He added: "We're happy because we've maintained our record and scored in every Premiership game away from home.
"When you come to a tough ground like this and play against a well-organised Everton side that's hard for us to break down to get a goal, coming from behind to get a point is an excellent afternoon.
"We kept going. I said that to the lads at half-time.
"To come away from home and have 16 attempts on target, we were in the box 43 or 44 times, we've not come to get a point, we've come to try and win it. And we've come from behind, which is a good sign."
