Sky Sports understands Blackburn are closing on the appointment of Henning Berg as their new manager and are expected to unveil him officially on Thursday.

He began his managerial career with Lyn Oslo in 2005, guiding them to a third-place finish in the Norwegian top flight during his first season in charge.
But Berg was unable to repeat that success and left to take charge of Lillestrom in August 2010, where an unsuccessful reign ended with a run of one point from eight matches.
