Remi Garde says he has no regrets about taking charge at struggling Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde admits that he is finding the job more difficult than he originally expected but says there is no question of him stepping down.
Garde is still searching for his first victory since he was hired in November but insists he has no regrets about taking charge of the Premier League strugglers and is hoping he will be given money to strengthen the squad this month.
Villa are without a top flight win since the opening day of the season and they are currently seven points adrift at the bottom of the table, ahead of the visit of Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

And Garde, who has yet to record a win in any competition after the 1-1 FA Cup third round draw with Wycombe on Saturday, said: "There are more difficulties, I discovered, when I arrived here, but I am very honest, I love the job.
"My target is only to try to help this football club to get through this very bad period and I am doing my best. I have no regrets about coming here."
Asked outright if he would be continuing, he added: "Yes, of course."
Garde is keen to make additions to the Villa squad but it is an open question whether the board will provide the funds required and he added: "They know exactly what I wish and that is all I can say."
There was more disappointment for the Villa fans when Garde's men were held to a 1-1 FA Cup third round draw at League Two Wycombe on Saturday.
The visiting supporters vocally expressed their disgruntlement and Garde says that came as no shock to him.
"I don't want to discuss too much about that today," he said. "I know football, that is all I can say. In every country it is the same.
"I understand completely the fans' frustration but what I am saying is that I am not surprised, because I knew that from other situations, at different clubs I have been playing for, or worked for.
"I understand the frustration, for sure."
