Aston Villa are close to completing a loan deal for Wolves defender Kortney Hause, Sky Sports News understands.
Hause has played in two Carabao Cup games this season but not at all in the Premier League, and he only featured once during Wolves' march to the Sky Bet Championship title last season.
The 23-year-old signed for Wolves in 2014 from Wycombe Wanderers, but has not forced himself into Nuno Espirito Santo's long-term plans.
Villa manager Dean Smith is keen to strengthen his defensive options and had been interested in Tyias Browning at Everton, but the arrival of Hause will likely put paid to that possibility.
A deal with Wolves should be completed in time for Hause to be available for Villa's home game against Wigan on Saturday.
