87 mins: Noel Whelan returns to Premiership action for Cedric Roussel who gets a standing ovation from the home crowd.

86 mins: Chippo puts a harmless ball into the area which Southgate balloons away for a corner which is put straight out for a goal kick.

84 mins: Stone wins a free kick next to the corner flag but it is wasted by Wright.

82 mins: Roussel gets a corner of Southgate after Keane put him through. McAllister takes the kick which is cleared by Colin Calderwood.

79 mins: Vassell wins a corner. Wright puts it in and Coventry flick it away for another corner, which is easily cleared.

74 mins: John Gregory makes a double change, Steve Watson replaces Mark Dealney and young striker Darius Vassell comes on for Julian Joachim.

COVENTRY CITY 2 ASTON VILLA 1 65 mins:GOAL: KEANE: Roussel flicks on for Hadji who takes the ball into the area and flicks the ball with the outside of his right foot into the path of Keane who shrugs of Alan Wright to poke past James.

61 mins: Boateng chops down Keane in full flight and is booked which means the Dutchman will now be suspended after picking up five bookings this season. McAllister smashes the free kick straight at the Villa wall.

60 mins: Telfer tackles ex-Coventry player Boateng at chest height and is very lucky to escape with only a yellow card.

58 mins: Villa are pressing Coventry back into the Sky Blues half but are failing to capitalise on their possesion

53 mins: Coventry corner, McAllister flicks the ball in towards Roussel but the man on loan from Gent is easily beaten in the air.

51mins: Chippo hits the ball wide of the Villa goal after good work from Keane and Roussel in the Villa box.

COVENTRY CITY 1 ASTON VILLA 1 40 mins:GOAL:DUBLIN: Villa win a corner through Joachim just getting past Williams who puts it out. Hendrie swings over the corner and Dublin rises unchallenged to head home the equaliser at the near edge of the six yard box.

35 mins: Robbie Keane picks up a Roussel deflection on the edge of the box and flicks it over James, it hits the inside of the post and bounces on the line and across the other side of the goal, so close for Coventry.

32 mins: A Coventry free kick on the edge of the Villa box after Hadji is chopped down by Hendrie who is booked for dissent.

28 mins: Delaney wastes a good ball from Stone on the edge of the Coventry area and touches it out for a goal kick.

25 mins: Youssef Chippo cuts inside from the left and lets fly from 35 yards and James can only parry the ball at full stretch.

20 mins: Lee Hendrie picks up a Dublin knockdown and drives the ball at goal but puts it hish and wide of Magnus Hedman`s upright.

17 mins: Gary McAllister feeds Keane who looks to take on Delaney again and does so with ease but his low dricve across the area fails to arrive to a City player.

12 mins: Mustapha Hadji chases down Alan Wright who plays the ball to Calderwood who hacks it out for a Coventry corner which is easily cleared by Villa.

COVENTRY CITY 1 ASTON VILLA 0 8 mins: GOAL: ROUSSEL: Robbie Keane picks up the ball out wide and teases Mark Delaney, he beats him and crosses to the edge of the six yard box for Belgian Cedric Roussel who heads brilliantly past David James who cannot do anything to keep it out.

6mins: George Boateng hammers in a volley on the edge of the box after the corner is cleared, the ball drops to Ian Taylor who scuffs his shot.

5 mins: Joachim runs at Williams and beats the central defender who nudges Joachim but Graham Barber gives a corner rather than what looked like a penalty.

4 mins: Steve Stone lays the ball back to Mark Delaney who wips in a right footed cross for Dion Dublin who heads down and wide of the Coventry goal.
