Villa ace denies any malice in challenge
Aston Villa midfielder Steve Sidwell insists there was no malice in the tackle that left Wolves' Adlene Guedioura with a broken leg.
Algerian midfielder Guedioura suffered a fractured tibia after being caught by Sidwell late on during Villa's 2-1 win at Molineux on Sunday.
Sidwell is adamant there was no intent in the challenge and he has wished Guedioura a speedy recovery.
"I wish Adlene well and I hope he makes a quick and full recovery," Sidwell told the club's
official website.
"Obviously, I went in to play the ball with no malice whatsoever.
"My intent was purely to play the ball and I'd just like to say again that I wish him all the best in his recovery."
