Another youngster pledges future to Aston Villa

Jonathan Hogg is set to become the latest Aston Villa youngster to pledge his future to the club, skysports.com understands. The Middlesbrough-born 21-year-old has been handed the chance to push for a first-team place under Gerard Houllier and has grasped his opportunity with both hands. Hogg started his first Premier League game earlier this season in Aston Villa's 2-2 draw with Manchester United. Now following hot on the heels of fellow Villa youth graduates Gary Gardner, Barry Bannan, Marc Albrighton and Ciaran Clark, Hogg has signed a new deal. Hogg, who battled with a cruciate knee ligament injury earlier in his career, has agreed a two-and-half year deal - keeping him at the club until 2013.
