Portugal international has heart set on playing in England's top flight
Portugal international striker Yannick Djalo has confirmed his desire to join a Premier League club in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has barely played this season after a transfer deadline day move to Nice was not completed in time, although Sporting were adamant he had been sold and was no longer theirs.
Djalo remains on Sporting's book although he recently spent time on trial with Aston Villa - according to manager Alex McLeish, who was keen to assess his ability first hand.
The Guinea-Bissau-born striker is not ruling out returning to Portuguese football, although his preference is winning a move to England's top flight.
Dream
"My dream is to play in England although in the world of football anything could happen," he told
RTP.
"Return to Portugal? There's a chance, but my priority is to play in the Premier League.
"I want to resolute my future in the first week of January."
