Lambert influence proving a positive for Villa forward
Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has praised the team ethic instilled in the squad by new boss Paul Lambert.
Lambert took over at Villa Park in the summer and was able to include England international Agbonlahor for the draw at Newcastle on Sunday after a spell out through injury.
The 25-year-old, who has played over 200 Premier League games for Villa, revealed the former Norwich boss has been focusing on teamwork in training.
"What he's trying to build into us is that if someone gives the ball away you don't moan, you just go and win it back for your friend," Agbonlahor told the
Birmingham Mail.
"We've been working on that a lot in training and games and I think that mentality will help.
"He's said to us when you lose the ball then it's nice to have a friend who's there to come and help you win it back and then you can do the same for him."
