Kluivert issues Magpies warning

The Catalan side have already progressed to quarter-final stages of the competition, but the former Ajax star insists there is no chance of Barca taking their foot off the pedal.

The Magpies need to beat Raddy Antic's men, and hope Internazionale fail to overcome Bayer Leverkusen to progress, though Kluivert claims the Spaniards will be going all-out to maintain their excellent European form.

"Our European performances have been the only highlight of our season," said the 26-year-old.

"We are proud of our unbeaten record.

"Some people might think we don't care about the Newcastle game but they are wrong.

"Yes, we are already guaranteed top spot in the group but that will not affect the way we approach the match.

"We have lost too many in La Liga this season so we will play to win.

"Our fans will expect us to play aggressively against Newcastle and that is what we will do."
