St James' Park skipper suspended for Villa and Man United matches
Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan has admitted his disappointment at collecting 10 bookings which will result in an automatic two-match suspension.
The midfielder collected his most recent yellow card in Saturday's 4-1 win over Wolves at St James' Park, when he was arguably fortunate to only be cautioned for a trip on Adam Hammill.
Nolan will now be suspended for the trip to Aston Villa next Sunday and will also be unavailable for manager Alan Pardew when Manchester United visit Tyneside on 19th April.
The 28-year-old has been an influential figure for Newcastle and scored his 12th goal of the season in the win over Wolves, which eased relegation fears in the North East, and he is therefore frustrated at his ban.
"I'm disappointed to be on 10 yellows," he told

Trouble
"I did try and stay out of trouble as much as I could over the last couple of games. I didn't realise I had nine until a couple of weeks ago.
"But it just happens, doesn't it? And hopefully the lads can take over."
The victory over Wolves was just Newcastle's second in 10 games and moved last season's Championship winners into the top half of the Premier League, while sinking Mick McCarthy's visitors down to 19th position.
Nolan opened the scoring before Shola Ameobi, Peter Lovenkrands and Jonas Gutierrez all scored, with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake only giving Wolves a slight revival at 3-1, and he does not expect any complacency before the end of the season.
"Everybody had been saying that it was a six-pointer," he said.
"But we didn't see that. We see every game from now until the end of the season as massive for us because we want to finish as high up as possible."
