HAALAND DENIES QUITTING NORWAY

MANCHESTER CITY defender Alf Inge-Haaland has denied that he has quit his international career with Norway.

The former Nottingham Forest and Leeds ace was very disappointed not to be picked in the Norway squad to face Northern Ireland on February 28 having re-established himself this season at Maine Road.

The 28-year-old had complained about this on his personal website and had indicated that he was quitting Norway but now he claims that his comments have been mis-interpreted by the media.

"Even though I don't have much faith in getting picked, I haven't said no to playing for Norway in the future",said Haaland.

"I want to correct this. Even though I don't have much faith in getting picked again, I haven't said no to further involvement. I would love to play for Norway again", added Haaland.
