Adebayor's future at City has been the subject of intense speculation this month with the player currently out of favour at Eastlands.
The former Arsenal man is thought to be keen on a move away from City this month after growing frustrated with his lack of first-team action under Roberto Mancini.
Fulham and West Ham have been linked with loan moves for Adebayor, but both clubs would struggle to pay the striker's wages.
Real Madrid were thought to be interested in signing Adebayor, but they have turned their attentions to Ruud van Nistelrooy instead.
