City ace issues warning to Baggies

Aleksandar Kolarov insists Manchester City are still gunning for the Premier League title despite a recent slump in form. City surrendered two points from a winning position on Wednesday at Birmingham on the back of a league defeat at Aston Villa. The point at St Andrews means Kolarov and co are eight points behind leaders Manchester United who also have a game in hand. Kolarov opened his Premier League account with a peach of a free-kick against Blues and has warned West Brom to expect a fired-up City this weekend.

Belief

"We have had two negative results but we believe we can win the title," he told the Manchester Evening News. "The other teams are not better than us, but we have maybe six players who are new to the squad, while the others have played together for two or three years. "We are doing well in the championship but at the moment it is not enough to be in first place. "We are trying to do our best and tomorrow we will try to beat West Brom, and if we do that we can start to play like we were doing. "It is a home game and we have to win it to do good things in the championship. After that is the derby, and then we will see our power."
