Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he is not shocked by Manchester City fans mocking the Munich air disaster.
During City's 1-0 win at Blackburn on Monday, City fans were heard chanting distasteful songs related to the tragedy.
23 people died in the 1958 plane crash, eight of which were United players, and Ferguson insists little surprises him in this day and age.
"It is a sad reflection on society," he said of the degrading chants. "We are in a different society now.
"There are a lot of things that appal me in life. Look at some of the crimes that are committed today. But there is nothing we can do about it."
