Swedish youngster seems to have gone off Dutch move

FC Twente target John Guidetti has remained tight-lipped over his future. The Dutch side are keen to complete a deal for the young Swedish striker, who is out of contract with Manchester City. Although the 19-year-old has been offered a new deal at Eastlands, he believes his future lies elsewhere and has been deep in talks with Twente. Yet Guidetti has shed little light on reports in the Dutch media that a deal is set to be completed. "I don't have that much knowledge about that," he told Fotbollskanalen. "There are other people that take care of all that. "I focus on scoring goals on the pitch, and the rest will sort itself."

Twente talks

Guidetti's father Mike was with him for the Twente talks as his agent, Per Jonsson, was unable to travel to Enschede. Jonsson has revealed the negotiations have been "unconventional" and although he was not present, Guidetti insists there has been no split with his agent. "Both are involved - my dad is a good support for me and so is Per," he explained. "I accept help from everyone that offers. We are a big team. My family, my mum, my sister, my girlfriend and my friends, it's not Per or Mike, it's everyone." It seems Guidetti is now considering other offers, with there still believed to be strong interest in England, yet asked when he would decide his next destination he replied: "Well, the transfer window shuts when it shuts - hopefully it'll be before that. "I don't know what I will do. I think I will train at Boson (the Swedish FA's training base)."
