Maurizio Zamparini insists Palermo will only accept cash offers for Javier Pastore.
Italian outfit won't entertain player-plus-cash offers
Maurizio Zamparini has told Javier Pastore's suitors that Palermo will only accept cash offers for their sought-after playmaker.
The Argentina international is set to leave the Serie A outfit this summer as he is a reported target of Chelsea, Manchester City and Roma.
Palermo have set an asking price of €50million and their president has ruled out the possibility of clubs offering players to help broker a deal.
"For Pastore's transfer we will not accept player-exchange deals," Zamparini said.
"For me and for Pastore's agent, the only valid ones are cash offers.
"On Tuesday we will look with Pastore's agent at the concrete offers we have.
Final stretch
"I believe we are in the final stretch of his transfer."
Pastore is under contract with Palermo until June 2015 after joining the club from Huracan for €19million
in 2009.
The 22-year-old, who has recently been on international duty at the Copa America, was the Rosanero's leading scorer last season, claiming 11 goals as they finished eighth in Serie A.
