Argentina star happy following impressive bow

Manchester City's newest hero Sergio Aguero was staying grounded following his blistering debut for the club off the bench. The Argentina international made his City bow in Monday's 4-0 success over newly-promoted Swansea at the Etihad Stadium. City were only leading 1-0 when he was brought on, however, two goals and an assist later from Aguero steered the club home. Aguero wasted little time in stamping his authority on the game and by the end the home faithful were purring with delight at his cameo. The 23-year-old was not reading too much into his exciting performance, stating only that he is 'happy' and that it was 'nice'.

Nice

"I am happy," he told City TV. "The start was really good and I want to keep like this. It was nice. "I had a chance to play a little bit and I enjoyed it. "I helped the team and I want to keep doing the same in the future." Aguero had been held back by manager Roberto Mancini as a precaution due to a lack of match fitness. The former Atletico Madrid star began pre-season late after representing his country at the Copa America until mid-July. He concluded: "He knows how I am and it was okay for me to play 30-35 minutes."
