Agent suggests Balotelli swap

Mario Balotelli's agent claims Napoli would be wise to consider a swap deal involving his client and Ezequiel Lavezzi, should the opportunity arise.

Exchange involving City striker and Lavezzi is touted

Mario Balotelli's agent claims Napoli would be wise to consider a swap deal involving his client and Ezequiel Lavezzi, should the opportunity arise. Manchester City striker Balotelli has been regularly linked with a return to his Italian roots since arriving in England from Inter Milan in 2010. Numerous clubs have been linked with the highly-rated Italy international, and Napoli are the latest to be touted as a possible destination for the temperamental 21-year-old. An exchange involving Argentine forward Lavezzi has been mentioned, with City known to be keen on the South American. Balotelli's agent has admitted that he would be open to such an agreement should Napoli and City give the go-ahead.

Great player

"An exchange involving Balotelli and Lavezzi between Napoli and City? If I were Napoli I would do it because I consider Mario to be a great player," Mino Raiola told Radio CRC. Raiola also represents Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik and has hinted that the Slovakia international may look to move on in the near future after spending the last four years in Naples. "Napoli bought Hamsik when no other club wanted to take a chance on him and they pay him very little money when you consider how much he is now worth," he said. "If Napoli should lose Hamsik, they must be ready to replace him and have a plan in place. "Every player has his cycle at a club and when it is finished, it is right to go elsewhere."
