Eredivisie club do not expect City striker to return on loan
The agent of Manchester City's John Guidetti claims the player could return on loan to Feyenoord, but the Dutch club are not so sure.
The 20-year-old Sweden international scored 20 goals in just 23 Eredivisie games during last season's loan stay and is
set to be rewarded with a new contract at City.
Guidetti's agent Per Jonsson told
Voetbal International last week that a return to Feyenoord remains a distinct possibility.
"He liked his stay at Feyenoord and enjoyed putting in strong performances for them," said Jonsson.
"Joining them again is definitely an option, but there are more possibilities, we are going to explore all options without rushing and we will surely come to a decision before the transfer window ends at the end of the month."
Realistic
But the Dutch club have moved to dampen speculation linking the Swede with a return to De Kuip.
"At the last moment, anything can happen but we are not assuming the return of John is realistic," said Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel.
"We do not know what City want - and besides, he needs time to recover from his injury."
