Argentine striker attracting interest
Former Rangers striker Federico Nieto is being targeted for a return to British football,
skysports.com understands.
The Argentine front-man is one of the top scorers in his homeland, where he has hit 12 goals for Colon de Santa Fe.
Nieto's displays have attracted the attention of a number of scouts, and now it is believed Stoke City and Middlesbrough are both keeping close tabs on the 26-year-old.
Nieto previously spent six months on loan at Ibrox when he was 22, but despite scoring three goals he was sent back to Argentina.
Now Nieto is ready to seal a move back to the UK, according to his British representative Barry McIntosh.
"There is a lot of interest in Federico, I can confirm that," McIntosh told
skysports.com.
"A move in January is a possibility."
