Keeper impressing during loan spell at Sixfields
Northampton Town have extended the loan deal of Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele until the end of the season.
Steele has impressed since linking up with the Cobblers late last month and has been on the winning side on all four of his appearances to date.
He was brought to Sixfields following an injury to Chris Dunn and he will now see out the campaign with the League Two club.
The 19-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for Boro, but should continue his education at Northampton with a start against Lincoln City on Saturday.
Steele is one of two Boro players currently in Ian Sampson's squad, with John Johnson having made 29 appearances to date.
