Skysports.com revealed that Ogbeche had been training with Boro since last week.

Now Boro, who are in need of striking reinforcements are set to take a chance on the former Paris Saint Germain man.

"He's out of contract, he's somebody who's been here a few days, he's played a development game at Blackburn last week," said Mowbray.
"If anything does get done we need to put it into context: he's a free transfer, an out-of-contract footballer who has not got a job.
"We have to put in the context that he would be here to help alongside what we've already got."
Ogbeche is available as a free agent after leaving Greek side Kavala over the summer.
