Middlesbrough 'set to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Michael Agazzi'

AC Milan goalkeeper Michael Agazzi is expected to undergo a medical on Monday ahead of a proposed move to Middlesbrough, according to Sky sources.

The 31-year-old is on the verge of signing for Aitor Karanka's side, with the deal a season-long loan according to the Northern Echo.

Agazzi was signed for Milan from Cagliari last summer but did not make a Serie A appearance for the Rossoneri.

He instead moved out on loan to Chievo and made 14 starts for the Verona-based side last term.

Agazzi began his career at as a youth at Atalanta before being released in 2003. He signed professional terms with FC Sudtirol before a move to Triestina a year later.
