On-loan Yeovil defender Stephen Arthurworrey has returned to parent club Fulham to undergo an operation on a knee injury, according to Glovers boss Paul Sturrock.

The 21-year-old suffered a recurrence of the injury in the 1-0 defeat by Mansfield last Tuesday in the last of his 17 appearances for the League Two side.

Arthurworrey, who also had a loan spell at Tranmere back in 2014, has now cut short his season-long deal at Huish Park and will continue his rehabilitation at Craven Cottage.

"He went back to Fulham and had an x-ray and there is knee damage of some sort," Sturrock told the club's official website.
