Dutch star eyeing move to England or Germany
Southampton and Werder Bremen are the latest clubs to enter the race to sign Vitesse's Alexander Buttner.
Buttner visited Fulham and Queens Park Rangers last week with a view to a move, although no deal has been done with Vitesse.
Newly-promoted Saints and Bundesliga side Bremen have now contacted the Eredivisie side to assess the left-sided player's availability.
And the 23-year-old admits he does not know what division he will be playing in next season, although he was full of praise for the treatment he had received at both Craven Cottage and Loftus Road.
"That was very impressive," he told
Voetbal International, when asked about his London trip.
"Everything was arranged very professionally and the people were very warm.
"The Premier League or the Bundesliga, both are fantastic leagues. At the moment I can't say more, I have to wait.
"I still have one year left on my Vitesse deal, so a new club first has to agree on a transfer fee."
Buttner was named in Bert van Marwijk's provisional 36-man squad for Holland's ill-fated Euro 2012 campaign but did not make the final selection and remains uncapped.
