Goal-line technology is needed in the Football League, says Gary Bowyer

Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer says the Football League needs to bring in goal-line technology after his side were unfortunate to be denied a point at Fulham.
The two sides produced an enthralling Championship encounter at Craven Cottage and the hosts held on to win 2-1 thanks to goals from their lively forwards Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele.
However, the post-match focus surrounded a key moment in the second half when Fulham's Jamie O'Hara booted a Grant Hanley effort off the line.
Replays showed the ball had crossed the line before O'Hara intervened, but Tony Harrington did not award a goal and waved away the Blackburn players' appeals.
Bowyer said: "There's a massive prize in this league at the end of the season, a huge amount of money for getting to the Premier League, where modern technology is applied.
"The rewards are massive, yet we haven't got technology in this league. Hopefully, this is an opportunity for the powers that be to do something about it.
"Cricket doesn't just have it at one game, tennis is not just at Wimbledon. They are open-minded, and the powers that be need to know it would make the game better.
"People are banging the drum and today is a great example, an opportunity to do something for the good of the game.
"We are in the professional game. For the amount of money at stake, why can't it go all the way through the League?"
Fulham manager Kit Symons said he is also an advocate of goal-line technology in the Championship, although "just not today", he added with a smile
Symons said: "I've had a look at it, it looked like it did cross the line, but I'm not going to apologise for us getting a bit of luck."
Blackburn are third from bottom, having not won in the league this season, and Bowyer is coming under pressure, despite the financial constraints he is operating under.
Symons added: "I've known Gary for years, he's a friend.
"I've been there, I had 'Symons out' last home game, so it goes with the territory, but I do feel for Gary."
