Ali Al-Habsi becomes the latest FA Cup winner to depart Wigan after heading the club's end-of-season released list.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper - an unused substitute at Wembley in 2013 - is joined by Kim Bo-kyung, Gaetan Bong, Marc-Antoine Fortune and William Kvist heading out the door at the DW Stadium.
Al-Habsi made 154 appearances for the Latics, including 39 during a loan spell from Bolton before he signed permanently in 2011.
He played just 13 times last season as Wigan suffered a second relegation in three campaigns.
Al-Habsi's departure means only manager Gary Caldwell and defender Emmerson Boyce remain from the 18-man squad that beat Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final.
Boyce has been offered a new deal by the club, as have Jermaine Pennant, Jordan Flores, Tim Chow, Matty Hamilton and Ryan Jennings.
Development squad players Mayowa Balogun, Joey Johnson, Connor Keane, Declan Poole and Mike Wilson have all been released by the Latics.
