But striker would prefer to join a League One club

Charlton Athletic striker Chris Dickson is not ruling out a return to Gillingham, but is hoping to join a club in League One. Dickson handed in a transfer request last month as he looks to leave Charlton in search of regular first-team football. He enjoyed a productive loan spell at Gillingham last season and is wanted back at Priestfield by manager Mark Stimson. However, while the forward is open to rejoining the League Two club, he would prefer not to drop down two divisions. "It's only because it is Gillingham that I'd think about it," Dickson told Kent News. "I had special moments down there and connected with a lot of people. "There are a few clubs involved, Gillingham are one of them, but I'm keeping my options open. I've spoken to Mark Stimson a couple of times and I'm not closing the door on them. "It's still a possibility, but obviously the fact there are League One clubs is what's swaying me at the moment."
