Youngster pens new deal at the Valley

Midfielder Scott Wagstaff has extended his contract at Charlton by a further two years. The 20-year-old came up through the ranks at the Valley before signing his first professional deal in January 2008. Wagstaff, who made his senior debut against Barnsley in April the same year, made 30 league appearances for the Addicks last season. The youngster also netted four goals and earned himself the Addicks Young Player of the Year award. "I'm delighted to sign a new deal," Wagstaff told the club's official website. "It shows the club has faith in my ability and now I'm looking forward to pushing on this season."
