Lloyd Dyer is confident Watford can challenge for promotion this season despite the recent upheaval at the club.
The Hornets are already onto their fourth manager of the campaign after Slavisa Jokanovic replaced Billy McKinlay, who was in charge for just eight days.
McKinlay had stepped in when Oscar Garcia was forced to stand down due to health issues, the Spaniard having only taken over from Beppe Sannino at the start of September.
But despite a chaotic few weeks at Vicarage Road winger Dyer, who joined from Leicester in the summer, insists Watford have a squad capable of maintaining their fine start to the season.
"We've got so much ability within the squad, particularly with the pace we've got, so if we get things right we'll be a real threat in this division," he told the club website.
"We've got the likes of Ikechi (Anya) and (Matej) Vydra, (Juan Carlos) Paredes is lightning quick and there's also myself, so we've got pace in abundance.
"It's been a busy time for the club, these last few months, but we're still joint top of the Championship and that's a real positive."
