Watford midfielder Ben Watson has signed a new deal with the club after impressing since joining the club in January.
Watson, who scored the winning goal for Wigan against Manchester City in the 2013 FA Cup final, left the Latics to move to Vicarage Road on an initial short-term contract until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has started all seven subsequent matches after coming on as a half-time substitute to make his debut in the 7-2 thrashing of Blackpool.
That has led to Watson agreeing a new two-year contract, with the option of a third year, after Hornets manager Slavisa Jokanovic decided to retain his services for a longer period.
Watson played 133 times during a six-year spell with the Latics, having signed from Crystal Palace for £2m in 2009, and has also had loan spells with West Brom and QPR during his career.
