Defender James Husband has returned to Middlesbrough following a loan spell at Sky Bet Championship rivals Huddersfield.
The 22-year-old left-back, who had two separate loan spells at Fulham earlier in the season, played 12 times for the Terriers with his final appearance coming in Saturday's 2-2 home draw against Hull.
"James performed well for us during his four months at the club," head coach David Wagner told the official Huddersfield website.
"He has really helped us at a time when we needed a second specialist left-back in our group.
"His attributes fitted our style and identity on the pitch.
"He now has to go back to Middlesbrough as we cannot keep him for any longer and I'd like to wish him the best of luck."
Huddersfield are currently nine points above the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone with five games left to play, and Wagner said Jason Davidson would fill the void at left-back for the rest of the season.
"Jason will get the opportunity to play in our final games," said Wagner.
"He has also helped us in games during the last five months and now he can show how he can help us perform and get results.
"We have signed a second left-back in Chris Lowe for next season and everyone knows I want competition with two players in every position, so this is a good time for Jason to show his talent."
