League One strugglers hope to sign Fryatt on loan

Crewe Alexandra are hoping to persuade Leicester City striker Matty Fryatt to join the club on loan. The League One strugglers are determined to boost their attack, particularly after Nicky Maynard picked up an injury in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Northampton Town. Fryatt is understood to be the chief target for Crewe, with assistant manager Neil Baker optimistic of striking a deal. "We haven't done anything yet, but it is certainly a possibility," Baker told The Sentinel. "We have watched him this week and we think he is available. "I think if the lad was willing to come his club would let him go. "He's played a lot and he's not a kid, so he would offer some experience up there."
