Blackpool boss committed to Bloomfield Road

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson says reports linking him with the vacant managerial job at Leicester are 'pure speculation'. Leicester are searching for their sixth manager in little over 12 months after Ian Holloway was sacked following the club's relegation to League One. Grayson would undoubtedly be a popular choice at the Walkers Stadium having spent five years playing for the Foxes and captaining them to League Cup success in 1997.

Speculation

Since taking over at Blackpool in November 2005, Grayson has taken the Seasiders from League One to the Championship and keeping them there, securing a 19th place finish this season. Grayson is quick to dismiss any report linking him with a move to Leicester and admits he is focused on building the squad for next season. "It is flattering to be linked with another job but it is pure speculation, that's all it is," Grayson told the Blackpool Gazette.
Fully focused
"I am fully focused on the summer ahead and getting the right players to Blackpool and trying to make sure that we survive once again in the Championship. "All my plans are geared towards that and I have no thoughts for anything else. "When players do well at a certain club and are successful then they are linked with other teams and it is the same with managers. "It is just the way football is, but it doesn't mean it is going to happen."
