Mowbray bemoans finishing
Coventry boss Aidy Boothroyd was pleased with how his side ground out a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues claimed all three points, which lifts them into fifth, courtesy of Marlon King's late penalty against his former club.
That came after Middlesbrough had missed a first-half penalty of their own.
"We have got players in the team who no matter how we play will create and score goals and that is what the story is about today," said the Coventry boss.
"We ground out a result and we are difficult to beat.
"It's three points, the result is the be all and end all but as coaches we are looking for a little bit more.
"Their penalty came from a counter-attack which is something I think our centre-backs can learn lessons from but Keiren Westwood's saves were outstanding and that's what he can do, he does that in training all the time and we are thrilled that he kept us in it.
"You have to get on with it and stay focused - which we did."
Boro reaction
Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray bemoaned his side's lack of a cutting edge.
"We missed a penalty and they scored a penalty," he said.
"I thought we controlled the game reasonably well after the first 20 minutes where they had a number of free-kick and crosses into the box.
"We didn't really feel threatened, particularly in the second half.
"We are very disappointed to lose a game we didn't think we should have done but there you go, that's football, you have to look at the positives.
"If you're a penalty taker and you miss, you get asked questions but if you put it in the bottom corner no one says anything.
"If our performance levels stay like that we will be fine but you need to find the formula to win games.
"Marvin Emnes hit the crossbar when he only needed to side foot it from inside the six-yard box and it is those fine margins which are the difference between winning and losing football matches."
