Hoops boss draws line under Diouf row
Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock is confident new faces will arrive at the club before the end of the January transfer window.
Rangers are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Championship but have recently lost two players to injuries.
Jamie Mackie suffered a leg break during the FA Cup defeat to Blackburn last weekend while Patrick Agyemang also faces a spell out with a stress fracture.
With full-back Kyle Walker making the move to Aston Villa, it leaves the Hoops short of numbers as they look to kick on for the remainder of the campaign.
Warnock said in
The Independent: "We need to give everyone a boost with a few signings as we've lost three key players in a week: Jamie, Kyle Walker, who's gone to Villa, and Patrick Agyemang, who has a stress fracture.
"I've been trying hard to bring players in. We're not quite there, but I'm optimistic something will happen soon."
Scotland international Mackie now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines following his injury at Ewood Park, but Warnock is keen to draw a line under the war of words with Rovers forward El-Hadji Diouf.
Diouf verbally abused Mackie whilst he was lying on the ground and Warnock has since described him as a 'sewer rat', while the former Senegal international has hit back at the QPR boss.
Warnock is not going to continue the row and believes he knows enough about the 30-year-old to let the dispute lie.
"Obviously, I wasn't happy with everyone on the day and a lot was said after the game," he added.
"I stand by it all but I think enough has been said now. I was inundated on Thursday with requests to answer what Mr Diouf had said about me, but quite honestly, when I look at some of the things the lads showed me on YouTube involving him there's no need to reply."
