Sky Bet Championship: Forest manager Dougie Freedman to have position reviewed

Nottingham Forest owner and chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi has revealed that Dougie Freedman's position as manager will be reviewed at the end of the season.
When Freedman was presented as Stuart Pearce's successor on February 3 the Championship club announced the Scot had agreed a 18-month contract. However, it now seems the former Crystal Palace and Bolton boss must earn himself a prolonged stay at the City Ground.
Al-Hasawi, already on his seventh manager in just two-and-a-half years in control of Forest, insists Freedman signed a three-month deal with an option to extend it for a further 12 months in the summer.
"We signed him only for three months," said the Kuwaiti businessman. "At the end of the season, we will decide if he will continue for next season or he will decide, even. He wanted it to be this way.
"He will sign for three months and then we will decide in May if he is going to continue for next season. Then perhaps we will look at another contract for two or three years.
"This is only the beginning. He has a three month contract for now, with the option of another year. I hope that he stays here for 10 years. I really do. I do not want him to leave Forest, if he is doing well.
"But if this was your club and the manager was not doing well, would you make a change?
"I want stability, of course. I hope we can work together and, from the first time I saw him and spoke with him, I feel we can do something."
Freedman has won seven points from his first three matches in charge, with Forest scoring 10 goals in the process.
Al-Hasawi added: "He has done well so far. We hope that will continue.
"Dougie was happy to work with us, he wanted to work with us to see if we were happy with the situation. We talk on a daily basis. I would like to see him do a good job and I would like to see him stay.
"I wish him all the best because I would like to see good results for Forest, this is the most important thing for me."
