Paul Peschisolido is hoping that Burton can agree a deal to hang on to on-loan keeper Artur Krysiak.
Peschisolido confident young keeper can improve
Paul Peschisolido is hoping that Burton Albion can agree a deal to ensure on-loan goalkeeper Artur Krysiak is at the club next season.
The 20-year-old is on a season-long loan deal from Birmingham City and is tipped to be released by the Premier League side in the summer.
Burton have previously tried to sign the Pole permanently and manager Peschisolido is optimistic an agreement can now be reached.
Peschisolido told the
Burton Mail: "I've been in contact with Artur's representatives and put an offer to them.
"There are one or two issues to be resolved, but hopefully they can be ironed out in the coming weeks."
Krysiak has made 38 league appearances this campaign, and Peschisolido and goalkeeping coach Kevin Poole are confident the youngster has the right attributes to succeed.
He added: "Artur has made mistakes at times this season, but everything about him fits the bill. He's the right size, he's got a good attitude and he's got good feet and hands.
"He's got some work to do to become a really good keeper, but Kevin rates him very highly, and we think with time and experience the mistakes will lessen."
