Former Cardiff winger reunited with McLeish
Birmingham have signed winger Chris Burke to boost their bid to bounce back to the top flight.
The 27-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Alex McLeish's side after
failing to agree a new contract with Cardiff.
Joining on a Bosman transfer, he has become McLeish's first signing since the Blues were relegated from the Premier League.
The Birmingham boss is no stranger to managing the Scottish international, with the Glasgow-born Burke having previously played for McLeish during his spell with Rangers.
Burke will also be reunited with central defender Roger Johnson, who played for the Bluebirds before moving to St Andrew's two years ago.
Having joined Cardiff midway through the 2008-09 campaign, he was an integral part of the Bluebirds side that came close to achieving promotion to the top flight on several occasions.
His two Scotland caps and goals both came in the Kirin Cup in Japan in 2006.
He played in the UEFA Champions League during his spell at Ibrox and tasted Scottish Premier League and League Cup success during a nine-year stay at his boyhood club.
